<Sylvia> The Alligator

One day, we had to go somewhere with the whole family. We were waiting for Victor when, after some waiting, Sara suggested "daddy, you'll be the alligator".

I was surprised at first and thought about what she had said. Then, I suddenly understood where this reflection came from. Whenever we leave and someone stays behind, we say "See you later alligator". Therefore, she concluded, if daddy would stay behind, he would be the alligator.

<Sylvia> Mickey Mouse at the Dentist's

Every time we had to walk to school, we passed by a dentist office on the corner of Washington Avenue. You could see the waiting room through the big glass windows...

In the waiting room, there was a Mickey Mouse seated and every time we passed by, Sara made sure Mickey Mouse was still there. She was very excited about it.

One day, she stopped to look and noticed Mickey was not there. She started crying and was obviously very upset about it. Just then, the assistant came in. She thought Sara needed some urgent care, but I explained her what the real problem was...

From that day on, Mickey Mouse never failed to be present in the waiting room of that dental office...
